On September 15-17, 2014, FITRA Riau as a member of the Publish What You Pay Indonesia national coalition was fully supported by the Ford Foundation to conduct capacity building training for communities around the mine in Ingdragiri Hulu district. The training was attended by community groups who are members of the Limau river community village, Sungai Paret Village as a village around the oil and gas mine (Binio Block) in Inhu, and Siambul Village as a village around a coal mine (Riau Bara Harum).

In addition, this training was also attended by representatives from Aliasi Nusantara Community (AMAN) Inhu. The training participants consisted of 28 people and four of them were women. Among the training participants, there were also the head of the Sungai Limau Village and the head of Sungai Parit Village, as well as the head of the Sungai Limau BPD then the customary head (Bathin in talang language) Sungai Limau Village and Sungai Paret Village.

This training was held at Miki Hotel, Siberida District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. The program began at 3:00 PM WIB and then continued by Usman as Riau FITRA Coordinator. After that, Tarmizi continued as a training facilitator.

Of the various objectives delivered by trainees, among others, learning together and seeking knowledge, to learn to access information about the rights of communities around the mine, to advance the village and improve the community.

Among the various expectations expressed by the training participants include:
1. Understand how to access public information on the mining sector
2. Knowing the capacity of natural resources around the mining community
3. So that there is information disclosure for the community around the mine
4. Want to advance the village and overcome specific poverty around the oil and gas and coal mines

In this series of events for up to three days, the content of the activity is the rights of village communities (Laws and PPs on Villages), identification of problems and needs in village development, simulation of problems and needs in village development, public information disclosure and simulation of information access testing in public bodies, advocacy steps on problems and needs of village development, simulation of advocacy steps on problems and needs of village development, the introduction of community centers and follow-up plans.
