Civic space is a concept related to human rights and individual freedom. Civic space is a place where individuals can enjoy basic, universally recognized rights, such as the right to assemble, the right to speak, and the right to express opinions.

Unfortunately, the current global situation of civic space is far from strong. Based on the data, there is not much that shows a positive trend in civic space conditions around the world. Indonesia is also experiencing a shrinking civic space that potentially threatens human rights.
