The Publish What You Pay Indonesia Coalition sees that Law no. 22/2001 on Oil and Gas provides less impetus for the development of the Oil and Gas sector in Indonesia and does not adequately address aspects of our energy security.

This is marked by some issues such as the amount of production that continues to shrink, the energy crisis, governance that is less transparent and accountable, as well as institutional legal issues in managing the oil and gas sector.
