LPAW (Institute for Research and Application of Discourse) Blora, one of the members of PWYP Indonesia held a Training “Community-Based Environmental Management Around the Mining Area”; on May 22-23, 2013 in Blora. The participants of this training are the community and communities around the mining area (Temulus Village, Bangoan, Sumber, Semanggi, Ledok, Japah, Todanan) while the trainers present were from ICEL (Indonesian Center for Environmental and Law) Jakarta. This training is held to answer problems caused by mining activities such as water pollution, road damage, leakage of pipes or critical agricultural land. The community and the community receive training in mediation and negotiation when dealing with companies related to the problems they face. The community and the community also gained knowledge about legal aid.
