Jakarta, – The Justice Tax Forum said the case that ensnared former Chairman of the Supreme Audit Board (BPK) Hadi Purnomo and PT Bank Central Asia (BCA) Tbk if it was proven to be an extraordinary tax crime. The crime is extraordinary because it involves elements of the taxation authority with the corporation.

“In this case, besides personally benefiting Hadi Purnomo, it also benefits PT BCA as a corporate or corporate taxpayer,” said a spokesman for the Fair Tax Forum Ah Maftuchan in a discussion in Cikini, Central Jakarta, Friday (25/4).

The Justice Tax Forum consists of organizations which are Association of Initiatives, The Habibie Center, Indonesia Corruption Watch, Indonesia for Global Justice, Indonesia Human Rights Committee for Social Justice, Indonesia Legal Roundtable, Boarding Schools and Society Development Association, PWYP Indonesia, Yappika, Indonesian Consumer Services Foundation, and ASPPUK.

It was conveyed, the issuance of the Zero Tax Assessment Letter (SKPN) by Hadi Purnomo as a former Director-General of Tax of the Ministry of Finance made the tax burden that should have been imposed on BCA to be non-existent or zero.

“This mode is part of tax crimes that must be disclosed and resolved immediately by the Corruption Eradication Commission because it is detrimental to state revenues from taxes,” said Maftuchan.

Crimes in the banking sector and other financial institutions, he continued, in the view of the Fair Tax Forum are not just one case but many. Because based on the results of investigations and studies conducted by his party, it was found that there was a potential for state losses of up to Rp. 10 trillion to Rp.
