Jakarta – National Secretariat of PWYP Indonesia on August 18, 2014, received a visit from Fredrik Eriksson, a consultant from Scanteam, an international consulting agency based in Oslo, Norway.
Frederik’s visit to discuss with Indonesian civil society organizations to evaluate the role of the international EITI Secretariat in the implementation of EITI in Indonesia.
Frederik, who carried out his agency’s role, acted as an independent consultant in making evaluations related to the role and support, both technical and funding from EITI, which would later be reported to the EITI Board at the international level, as meeting material related to evaluating the role of the EITI International secretariat and EITI funding globally. Besides Indonesia, other EITI implementing countries that were sampled from the evaluation were Guinea, Nigeria, and Peru. In addition to civil society organizations, Fredrik also held discussions with other stakeholders in the implementation of EITI Indonesia, specifically the government and the private sector.
