The government’s ineffectiveness in overcoming the energy security crisis is mainly due to funding that relies heavily on the private sector. The government does not have other funding sources that can guarantee the sustainability of efforts to achieve energy independence and security. This policy brief is prepared as one of the Civil Society Coalition proposals for the Revision of the Oil and Gas Law (UU), which will present arguments about the urgency, policy analysis, and proposed schemes and legal umbrella to form oil and gas funds in Indonesia.
