PWYP Indonesia actively participates in “Discussion and Learning on Justice Tax and Advocacy Strategy”; Jakarta, 12-15 March 2014; organized by the Prakarsa Association; The purpose of this agenda is to encourage tax reform and improvement by conducting lessons and discussions on taxation topics relevant to civil society organizations, how to develop tax advocacy strategy and activity that are steps in advocating for taxation.

The learning is held to build mutual knowledge and understanding (accumulating stock of knowledge) about fair tax. This is very important to build involvement in togetherness to bring together tax justice advocacy together and strengthen bargaining positioning for policymakers. On this occasion, Maryati Abdullah, National Coordinator of PWYP Indonesia, had the opportunity to become one of the speakers who explained about tax sharing in the extractive industry.
