The contracting and licensing processes in the context of public service provision, infrastructure development and potential regional economic development are crucial aspects in the context of implementing regional development. Extractive industries such as oil and gas mining and mineral and coal are examples of sectors that use a contract / permit mechanism in the exploitation process.

This study provides an overview of the practice of access to public information and contracts / permits disclosure in 6 resources rich provinces namely Aceh, Riau, West Sumatra, East Java, East Kalimantan and West Nusa Tenggara Provinces. This study reviewed the practice of access to public information in the Disclosure / Permits disclosure for extractive industries in terms of providing information by Local Government Public Bodies, classification and updating of information, PPID services, access to information by the public, information disputes at the local Information Commission, as well as developments and conditions. contract / permit information disclosure in the those provinces.
