The 2019 Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) Rules produced at the global EITI conference in Paris, have produced new provisions regarding contract disclosure in the extractive industry which serve as guidance in EITI implementing countries. Where, Indonesia is a member of the EITI who is obliged to implement these standards.

This policy brief analyzes the opportunities and challenges of implementing contract disclosure in the EITI standards, and evaluates the policy of contracts disclosure in encouraging more effective implementation of EITI standards in implementing contract transparency in Indonesia.
