
Aryanto Nugroho
Aryanto Nugroho is a National Coordinator of Publish What You Pay (PWYP) Indonesia in the period 2020-2024 and 2024-2028. Joined in 2014, Aryanto has played a role in carrying out a number of PWYP Indonesia’s advocacy programs and agendas. He is a representative of Civil Society in the Implementation Team of Extractive Industries Transparency Initiatives (EITI) Indonesia 2015-2022; involved as an Expert and Evaluator Team for the National Movement for Saving Natural Resources (GNPSDA) Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Republic of Indonesia 2017-2019; had an experience as a Co-Chair of Civil Society (C20) Indonesia on the G20 Indonesia’s Presidency 2022.
Currently he has a responsibility to be one of the members of Steering Committee (SC) Open Government Partnership Indonesia (OGI) 2023-2024; member of Steering Committee (SC) at the Asia Network for People’s Energy (ANPE) a networking platform that aims to bring together civil society organizations (CSOs) from the Southeast Asian Region to address the gaps and challenges of just energy transition at the country level with a region-wide perspective and targeted actions; also member of Steering Committee (SC) at the Asia-Pacific Transition Mineral Accountability (APTMA) Working Group, the network comprising CSOs across Australia, Indonesia, India, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and the Philippines, working together to strengthen human rights and environmental due diligence throughout the green energy supply chain, ensuring that marginalized and climate vulnerable communities hosting the raw materials are protected within Just Energy Transition.
He involved on energy and natural resources monitoring with the Anti-corruption Commission, National and Local Government and CSO’s Community, and has experience on facilitating multi-stakeholder groups in the regional, national and local level on gaining information, mapping the critical issues and seeking input for addressing the problem.
Before join PWYP Indonesia, he worked for PATTIRO Semarang for promoting anti-corruption and integrity also promoting gender and inclusive responsive planning and budgeting. organizing has been started since his college days. Aryanto has served as the President of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of Diponegoro University.
