Sometimes, I need clarification on recent government policies. For example, the EBET Bill should focus on regulating renewable energy from the sun, wind, and water to limit the increase in emissions. But instead, it maintains “new energy” in which fossil fuels are still used.
Last month, Mrs. Siti Nurbaya (Minister of Environment and Forestry) admitted that coal is one of the most significant sources of pollution in Jakarta, which makes it the number 1 polluted city in the world and has an impact on public health.
Therefore, let’s urge the government to remove “new energy” from the EBET Bill!
