Renewable Energy (RE) development is one of the efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 29% with their efforts and 41% with international assistance.
In addition to the Central Government, Local Governments are also required to support and contribute to achieving RE targets. RE management and energy conservation can be realized by the regions normatively if the local government has sufficient authority in the affairs of government administration in the field of Energy and Mineral Resources.
Therefore, the government has issued Presidential Regulation No. 11 of 2023 concerning Additional Concurrent Government Affairs in the Energy and Mineral Resources Sub-Sector of Renewable Energy.
